It's not often that a book can change your worldview so dramatically. Either Peace or War by Graydon McWilliams sounds like one such book I'm interested in reading.

The first line about missing war is one that I would never expect to hear from anyone! The fact that this guy talks about how war can alter peoples minds in a way that no other experience can entices me as well

I agree that the opening statement made by the author about war is very controversial, but then it takes courage and utmost conviction to do so. I would like to read this book. Nice review from you.

The first thing that attracted me was the title of the book. War is something most books say to from the get go. And next the opening words grabbed me further in to the book. This seems like an amazing book to read. Congrats on BOTD!

I wonder whether, on some level, the author has failed to communicate given your observations: ‘he is describing can be comprehended by none other than himself’ and ‘the thrills and horrors of war can only be understood by those who have been on the battlefield before.
