I love historical fiction books, and I love them even more when they are not the classical good versus bad, type of stories. I enjoy the details about the mule not listening or the whiskey running out, because life had problems like that back then, and it still does. I also appreciate that the characters grow as the story progresses, this seems like a great read.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting historical fiction set in the post American Civil War Wild West following a man who is in search of his step-mother following an attack by the Nez Perce Native American tribe. However, it is not an easy search by any means. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

I don't really like historical fictions, but this book to me it's utterly interesting and amazing. as I've been reading here about Jack going to several events, it became a motivational path on my side. it shows that nothing it's impossible here in this world. you get what you looking for no matter how difficult it may take but giving up it's not the point, it keeps me going. thanks writing and sharing this book with us, I wish it may be sponsored around the world so that other individuals can also read it and realise that everything in this world it's permitted but as long you keep going, I love this book and I think I shall keep it for my siblings.

This sounds like an interesting book, and I do like historical fiction, the length does concern me though, so I'll put this one on the back-burner for now. Thanks for the great review.

Although Jack's father, Rober Peniel has something negative attitude toward betraying his mother, he was not an overall bad person, as he was a good father before to Jack. The adventure of Jack in this book is something I want to immerse in. Congratulations to the author on BOTD!

This seems like an interesting historical fiction novel which takes us through times of war. The masacres and violence described may be too much for me to enjoy. Nevertheless thanks for a great and descriptive review! Congrats on BOTD 😊

This review of "Bone Necklace" by Julia Sullivan is glowing, highlighting the expert weaving of historical context into the story and the excellent character development. The reviewer also notes the occasional moments of humor and the vivid portrayal of characters, while cautioning that the book's violent and mature themes may not be suitable for all readers. Overall, it's a highly recommended read for fans of historical fiction set in the American West.

A bone necklace seems to take one back to 1877 and tell of the fight between the Nez Perce Indians and America. Jack, who is the main character, joined forces with his father and fought the Indians to bring peace to his people. Congratulations on BOTD!

With their focus and attention on the war, finding his step mother would have to wait but I do hope that she isn't in danger. This book's plot is fascinating and I like the fact that humor was employed in it, congratulations on BOTD!!

Julia Sullivan seems very talented and skilful in writing this historical fiction on Jack Peniel and Indian wars in1870's American West. You have written the review so well capturing various aspects of the book. It's helpful to know the story has depth, humour, and historical accuracy. Congratulations on the BOTD again!
