I don't usually read historical fiction, but was very impressed with the quality of writing in the sample I read on Amazon. Sounds like a beautifully written book that guides the reader through the past without bombarding them with superfluous information. Really enjoyed your review!

The Crimson Heirlooms. The time period is unique in classical history, and very profound setting. You did a good review, it will go right with me.

What takes my attention? Secret society, revolution, blackmail and search for hairlooms. Enough to make me wonder will she make it? I'll give this historical fiction a try.

From the beautiful review, I conclude that this is a book to be savored like fine wine. I'm impressed that the author seamlessly managed to maneuver between two time periods and leaves the reader sufficiently satisfied while at it.

Thanks for this lovely review. I was captured by the sample, so I think I'll continue this book to glean some historical facts, among other things. This is a well-written book!

Wow, I’ve never wanted to read a book so bad when reading a review, but this really blew me away. I love the era this book takes place in so that was an instant love. I love that in the second paragraph he compares time periods to slick gloves. You can definitely tell he enjoyed reading this book. It gives you enough push to read it and not wanting to stop rather than just an “eh, it’s a good book” feel. I can see me myself sitting on the front porch reading and learning and feeling like I am a character there. I can’t wait to start it soon!

Great review! I'm going to have to put this on my Want to Read list. I love historical fiction. My only hesitation is getting to the end and not getting a resolution. I usually read stand alone.

Historical fiction is my cup of tea and this one sounds superb! I like how you added that fans of Les Miserables would enjoy this because I am one. Also, I like your writing style, it seems that you really enjoyed this book. The review glows with your enjoyment. Thanks!

When the notification for "The Crimson Heirlooms" landed in my inbox stating that it is the Book of the Day (chosen by this forum), I just tapped on the link and read the brief introduction of the book. The premise seemed interesting but the words "French Revolution" floated in front of me and I decided to give this book a miss since I am not a fan of Historical Fiction genre. However, your splendid review about this book has changed my mind. I am now looking forward to reading this book and based on your review, it seems it's going to be a satisfying read.

Thanks for the review!
