This is a historical fiction that talks about the story of ancient Egyptians. Although I am not a fan of Egyptian stories, but your review makes me love to check this one out. Thanks for the great review.

This sounds like quite a good read. I'm picky when it comes to historical fiction but this does sound very interesting especially cause it's set in Egypt. Thanks for a very informative review 😁.

This sounds like an interesting book that I'd love to read. Comparison between old times and present existence is an intriguing premise for a book. I'd love read this book and understand the author's perspective. Thanks for your honest review.

A historical fiction novel that takes place in 1350 B.C. in Egypt. When the king died the new king sparks controversy that creates chaos through the kingdom. The new king Akhenaten creates political tensions that affect many of the loyal citizens. Lifelong friendships are betrayed, livelihoods are vanquished and lives are in grave danger at the whim of the new king. Lord Hani is a royal emissary that is a loyal servant of the king. While traveling between Egyptian cities trying to keep the peace he is also involved in solving a murder. Needless to say Lord Hani is walking on egg shells and does not want to offend the new king. Will he succeed or succumb to the new king's whims. Very good review.

Lord Hani really finds himself in a precarious situation. Any wrong move will be met with devastating cruelty by the new king. The plot seems very absorbing.

You are completely right, Amymarie. Laguage was quiete different in 1350 BC. then it is today. You only need to read the bible to see the difference.
Good review in my opinion!

I love historical fiction books since they provide a unique insight into the history and culture of ancient societies. I have also been an avid read of Egyptian history so I will definitely read this book. This will be an interesting read especially since I haven't come across books during Akhenaten's rule.

I love reading about Egypt and their pharaohs. Itt is however very hard to get a book that speaks about this events informally. I'd love to find out how Lord Hani tackles this immensely complicated situation. With political tensions at he core, this is a highly complicated situation. I think this story is worth a historical fiction badge. I can't wait to read this.

I like historical fictions because they provide a different perspective to the history of a certain time. And Egyptian history has always fascinated me. This will be an amazing read about the Akhenaten's ruling period. I would love to go through this. Congrats on BOTD!!

I'm an extremely easy sell on almost any historical fiction book but even more so, when it comes to ancient civilizations. That being said, it was still an excellent review that gives a great description of what is to be expected, without giving away too much. I certainly developed more of an appetite for the book than I had before I read the review. Very efficacious.

Lord Hani has his hands full in the Egyptian kingdom. I might have to skip this book as I'm not a fan of historical fiction. Hope people who love this genre will enjoy this book. Thanks for the review. Congrats on the BOTD!

I am a self-proclaimed Egyptologist. Not the historical academic type, more the novel-reading kind of guy who tends to know "everything" there is to know about ancient Egypt. That's why this book gets me excited just reading the synopsis. Akh-en-Aten is quite an interesting subject for me. I would really love to see how Lord Hani solves the murder while wading through political mire. Great job on the review.
