I'm glad that this is able to stand on its own, and it seems like an exciting read. I hope that the author will take note of the racially offensive term. Thanks for the review.

You're welcome. I appreciate your comment.

HollandBlue wrote: 14 Sep 2018, 10:54 I read 'The Warramunga's War' and loved it. I opted to pass on the second book of the trilogy, but thanks to your review, I'll be checking this one out. Kater's style of writing is very suspenseful and I'm glad this book shares the same style as the first one.
Thank you.

Britty01 wrote: 14 Sep 2018, 11:01 Great review. Now, I have another book to look forward to reading. I read the first and the 2nd is on my list to be read soon. I seem to like this author's writing style and the fact that there is no graphic violence or profanity makes it a winner for me. I think if you have time to read the other two, you will enjoy them also.
Thank you, Britty.

Kidnapping, theft and murder: I could not think of anything more exciting and action-filled read than this! To know that it stands on its own despite being a part of a series is an added incentive for me to dig into this historical fiction novel. Congrats!

I like the fact that this book can be read independently. The inclusion of parts of the previous books in the series is an added bonus. Thanks for the review

Thank you for the review. I haven't read the previous two in the series and seeing great reviews about this one makes me want to read it. Also it being a stand alone will help me dive into it.

This is a pretty interesting book. Once I started reading I didn't want to Keep the book down. And the way author has discribed the scene and the development is impressive. And I agree that book could stand on it's own.

I like that these books always focus on lesser-explored areas of history. This one sounds like a great continuation of the series. Great review!

"Skills of the Warramunga" by Greg Kater sounds thrilling and action-packed. Although it could be read as a stand-alone, I have a feeling that I will need to read the two previous series before I can totally understand the entire picture.

I love reading native dialects in a book, and I like historical fiction too! Thanks for you well-written review. I'm also glad that the book is a standalone.
