This seems like a interesting historical fiction with an excellent storyline. I can't wait to find out if Marcellus and Catrin will eventually get back together.

Gladiators, slavery, affairs, magic, politics, corruption, and predestination. Sounds like an interesting mix of concepts. This is further reinforced by the positive reviews I've read so far.

Thank you for this great in-depth, detailed review, showing us into the life of this series of books. I’ve never heard of it before now. It was a bit hard to get into enjoying at the beginning, but I may continue on a bit more, after reading your review. Thanks!!!

Romance novels are not my thing so I will probably not read this book. I hope amateurs of the genre will enjoy the historical setting. In any case, good point from the author that the third book starts with a recap for the first two, it is nice to have such a summary available to refresh the memory.

The plot really took an exciting turn! Linnea Tanner never disappoints—her storytelling is so gripping. I’m hooked and can’t wait to dive into more of her books too. And I completely agree with your review—you did an awesome job capturing the essence of the characters and their roles. Looking forward to more!

I am not a fan of historical writings but the review on this book makes it interesting because it clearly articulates the romance theme which would make me read all the historical parts,I also like that the book is part of a series which makes for more content to enjoy, additionally I would recommend the book for adults because there may be some violence , other than that the BOTD would definitely make for a good read.

Nice review! Historical fiction and fantasy are genres I’m getting into more (literature-wise) but by bit, but I’d be most interested in seeing how well the functions as a romance overall.
I liked that there was a summary of previous books at the beginning of the book. This helped readers to remember (or to know) about what had happened in the first two books. Though this could be a stand-alone book, it would be better to read the first two books in the series before reading this third book. Many of the characters were from the previous two books. There was a helpful list of characters in the back of the book for reference.
Thank you! These are the questions I always ask when it comes to a sequel in a series being made BOTD. So, it's nice to see them answered upfront like this.

So many characters affect the plot in this story of Roman and Celtic times. Great for readers who like stories with more than one perspective.
I write the best reviews possible. :idea2:

I'm happy about the book summary at the beginning. If there is a break between books I often forget what happens. I haven't started this series yet but I love a good romance book!

"Amulet's Rapture" by Linnea Tanner has been excellently reviewed. The story seems intriguing. It's a historical and romantic fiction that is well-plotted. I hope Catrin fulfilled her mission. Congrats on BOTD.

I am always uncomfortable and put off when a female character is put in violent and dehumanizing positions. I get it in terms of storytelling, but I still don’t like it. I do however, very much appreciate when an author creates an entire universe for the story to take place in. There’s a lot to keep track of in this book and the reviewer did a great job. Thank you for such a clear review.

When I was in college, I used to borrow books like this from our library. I really love this genres because it is entertaining and it improves ones imagination especially how the scene look like and also the characters. I'd love to read the first two books to fully understand the story.

This review is quite comprehensive! It delves deep into the plot of "Amulet's Rapture," the third book in the "Curse of Clansmen and Kings" series. The writer really dedicated themselves to dissecting the storyline, characters, and historical setting. The great thing is that they not only praise but also point out some parts they didn't enjoy as much. You can sense that the book is an interesting mix of romance, history, and a touch of fantasy.Overall, the review gives you that urge to check out the book, especially if you've already read the previous ones in the series.

Linnea Tanner's Amulet's Rapture skilfully blends mysticism, romance, and historical details. It is absolutely engrossing to read about Catrin's transformation from a prisoner to a formidable warrior, as well as her ties to Celtic and Roman customs. Those who enjoy historical fiction with compelling, multifaceted characters will find resonance in this book.
