Thanks for the review, but I REALLY dislike historical fiction - especially when a war is involved - and "Lily, just Lily, nothing more"'s story will not be the exception.

I do love historical books, but in no way can call myself history buff, so it will come as no surprise that subject of this book and WWll in whole holds no interest to me. Congratulations with BOTD, but unfortunately I will have to skip this one.

I am always so amazed by stories that are based on facts because of what the people endure. Nazi Germany was so sinister and even all these years later, the stories of tragedy and heroics still keep on surfacing. It sounds like the author of this one put together a book that depicts World War 2 quite realistically to educate readers. I will have to look into this one further.
Everything happens for a reason...

Nice plot, nice cover page; fans of historical fiction must be rejoicing at this novel. War stories are tragic and sad, but learnings can also be had. I am looking forward to dig into this novel as soon as I am able. Congrats!

The book deals with the real life heroes of the Belgian resistance that risked their freedom and their lives.Lily sounds like a brave woman, risking her life to save fallen airmen. It is a historical fiction centering the around the true story of a Belgian heroine who outsmarted the Nazis sounds intriguing

Thanks for the great review. Although I am not into books about spies the online review team has taught me to not judge a book by its cover, LOL. So I’ll be happy to give this a try.

I haven't read much historical books, but this definitely kept my attention from the first page. It's intriguing; such that you also can't wait to know what's in the 'box' :o . A unique way of conveying historic events that seems like it'll keep the reader engaged. I look forward to hopefully reading it someday and also learning a bit about WWWII :) !

A historical book on WWII that “capitalizes on a part of the war (the Belgium resistance during WWII) that hasn’t been overdone by the cinematic and even literary industry” sounds both informative and interesting. My interest is piqued in this, and I've added it to my want-to-read list. Thank you for this wonderful review!

As WWII novels go this one sounds very well-executed. It sounds like the line between historical, fiction, and nonfiction was a little blurry with this one. Thanks for the great review.

The way this book is described makes me want to read it even though I'm not a fan of historical fiction. The fact that it's based on a true story is fascinating.
I think the minute errors found in the book can be ignored as it does not take away the essence of it.
I wouldn't mind reading it and a part of ke thinks that I'd actually enjoy it.

I am one of those fascinated by stories of WW2. I enjoyed the sample and I see what you mean when you say that the story was repeated too many times. I also remember that issue of betraying oneself by the small gestures, in a film with Brad Pitt I believe. I am glad that the book is still worth the four stars, and I hope to read it soon.
Thank you for the review.
