I have always been interested in Egyptian mythology and this novel seems to capture the essence of that. Though I would first like to read the first and second part in the series, lest I feel left out on things.

It's been quite a while since I've been so compelled to read a book. This book sure sounds especially exceptional, and I love how some of it is historically accurate. I think I'll start from the first book of the series though.

I like reading historical fiction very much. It takes us into past and make us experience the situations those existed then. Coming to this book, the plot seems intriguing. The characters sound interesting. Looking forward to reading it. Congrats on BOTD!

The enthusiasm you have for this book is evident in the review. This seems a bit theatrical to me. The writing style is fine but there is definitely a lot to keep up with while reading.

I am not a fan of historical fiction, but this #BOTD shows promise with well-developed characters. Very thorough review, it shows how much you really enjoyed this story.

I am impressed with the character development since there's a lot of characters mentioned in the novel. And the author seemed to have a good job in telling their stories for just like you said you didn't find them confusing.

Historical fiction rife with political intrigues and scheming will always appeal to me. The author seems to have a knack for pulling intricate plots together. I can't wait to see how it all ends.

Thanks for your review. There are not many books that employ the historical context of ancient Egypt. It looks like Hani will have a hard time uncovering the truth about the king's son and find the one who murders the Babylonian diplomat.

I am curious about Egyptian history, but I'm not such a mystery fan. The OBC review points out some appealing features in this book, so I need to check it out before making a decision.

I greatly appreciate historical fiction. Especially those centered on culture of past civilizations. I especially am fond of ancient Egyptian civilization. Congrats BOTD

In this Historical fiction novel Lord Hani is asked to investigate recent tomb robberies. At the same time, a plague is spreading throughout the land. This story sounds like it has a lot going on and should make for an interesting read. I liked the list of characters and the map at the beginning of the book. This book has political, religious, and familial intrigue. This time period piques readers' interest, and I appreciate your comments about the historical facts included in the story. Neferet is an outstanding character! Thanks for the fascinating recommendation of this book and this author.
