Historical fiction that’s a combination of fact and fiction. Historical fiction and mafia-related books aren't really what I enjoy but it sounds intriguing.

Seems one can't have enough swear words in mafia-related books. :D A four star rating begs for a read!

This sounds like a great book , having to remember seven different characters and their names would be a tough one . It is also good as it takes us down memory lane as to what occurred after world war II

It's an impressive thing to write a cohesive story over such a large period of time. I think that the author took on a tough task by doing so, but the overall product is better for it.

I don't like reading a book that has too many swear words. One thing that might make me read this book is the timeline. A story set during or after the World Wars always has my interest.

A new gangster tale or film has been long overdue, and this one fits the criteria. I had an amazing time reading this book, it glued to my seat. Thanks for your review and Congratulations to the author on BOTD.

Seems like the narrator or characters in this book are voicy and I love it although some people may find the language alienating. I also like the concept of the book, and I'm expecting that the setting and characters' backgrounds influence the plot.

I am not sure if I could tolerate so many f-words. Otherwise this book sounds like an interesting one, following so many characters from NY to Vegas. I am also curious about the raise of Casino industry. Thanks for the lovely review!

I have said this before but it is worth repeating. There is no need to pack a story with profanity! Some of the best books I have read have been profanity free! I love historical fiction, but I will pass on this one! Thanks for the honest review!

This sounds intriguing. I enjoy historical fiction novels that give accounts of things that likely did occur in people's lives. Thanks for the honest review.

It is unfortunate when a good story has so much profanity, so I appreciate knowing beforehand that it will be in there a lot. It sounds like an interesting book though! I am not very familiar with that time period, so I wonder if it would be as exciting to me when I don’t know those famous people.

The fact that the OBC reviewer couldn't identify the protagonist makes this book complicated and intriguing. However, the excessive use of the F word is a turn-off for me, so I'll pass on this book.

I will never understand why people prefer to refer the groups by calling members "dogs"? It is always this way, dogs of reservation, ghetto or any other block, and I hate it, because it is so belittling and demeaning, first of all to those using it. Unfortunately, bullies of any kind will never get it, and I refuse to contribute to violence even in meager ways and thereby will have to pass this book. Still, congrats on BOTD!
