Historical fiction isn't usually my first choice, but something feels different about this one, and I'm curious to find out what happens in today's BOTD! In addition to the themes about racism, identity, and truth, I think the storyline sounds quite promising, and I love that strong women are the main/central characters! I'm not really a fan of historical fiction but the main character this review describes has me intrigued. This is because I am purely African, but so light-skinned I could pass for white and I have on a few occasions. I can't wait to read and find out more about this character and how she deals with racism from her fiance.
