This is a book heavy on the ancient events of the Roman Empire and the surge and plunge of Cleopatra. It imposes it concurrently in an imperial tale that brings many elements to light.

I love the subject of Cleopatra, although I never read a book about her. I would love to see more about this book. Congrats!

I'm fascinated by Egyptian history, but I've hardly read anything about Cleopatra, so this seems like a good book to start with. I'm curious to see what Caspar had to deal with. Thank you for the honest review!

I loved Egyptology since my early childhood and first Indiana Jones archeologist extraordinaire movie) The more I read about ancient history and mythology the more fascinated I was with the subject and even thought I chosen different profession I still enjoy anything related to my childhood dream. Thanks for bringing it to my attention and congrats on BOTD!

This is a book rich in the historical events of the Roman Empire and the rise and fall of Cleopatra.
The author did an excellent detailing of the events. The diagrams and illustrations act as a feather to the cap.
The review is superb.
Congratulations on Botd 🎉

From what I know about Cleopatra, she was a ruthless leader in Egypt. I can understand the full element of danger Casper was facing with serving under her. Historical fiction doesn't generally interest me; however, this story sounds like it has a colorful background with suspense added in. Nice review!

I'm not into historical books but I've never read a story about Cleopatra. This book could be an interesting start for me and I'm sure I'll learn a lot about her in an interesting way.

I loved your review, which piqued my interest in reading this historical fiction about the infamous Cleopatra. I think author Fraikor has chosen an excellent basis for his story using the character of Caspar as a central viewpoint.

Caspar continually amazes me, writing is so special, between your imagination and research you are an amazing author. The book opened my mind about Cleopatra and the Roman Empire. I thought I was knowledgeable until I read Caspar. Love the history, very exciting book, kept my interest entirely throughout the entire book.
The story, maps, and pictures made me want to read and finish the entire book.
Enjoyed reading Caspar, this book is a must read.

I like that this book is centered in a time during the Roman Empire and Cleopatra. That’s an intriguing time in history that warrants exploration.
