Wow, thank you for this very thorough review. The book touches on sensitive topics, so this will not be everyone's cup of tea; however, I do appreciate the honesty and courage taken to deliver such thought-provoking messages to the readers. Besides, who doesn't enjoy historical fiction and drama? I'm sure I do. :techie-studyinggray:

I like that the author very successfully combines several strong elements such as greed, abuse, and corruption. The same can be said for the themes of the story, which include mystery, romance, but also theology and science. Reading recommendation.

I love historical fiction and I am aware of the corrupt practices of the church during the olden times so this is not shocking to me. Thanks for your review!

Historical fiction is not my thing but this novel seems engaging and interesting in the way the author addresses the problem of corruption at political and religious levels and offers some food for thought about some connected subjects. I'll look into this series. Thank you for your great review!

Mystery thriller books are my favorite when the churches were being burnt down by the bad people that killed priest. It led to pope assigning the enemies to crack down the killer

I'm amongst those who seek explanations for the meaning of life, the nature of God, and the foundations of the universe. I hope this book truly gives a satisfactory answer to this question.

Great, I love it. So far there is nothing wrong with this book even the cover is attractive. It's just that maybe I can't read it because it's not the kind of story I like. However, I would be happy to recommend it to my best friend as well as anyone who would love this type of book. Thanks for your review.

The book seems interesting and quite intriguing. Along with mystery and thriller it shows how unscrupulous, hypocritical, and power-hungry religious and political leaders were back then and brings forth the theological and philosophical questions which make you think and come to certain conclusions. It will be interesting to read this book. Congratulation on becoming BOTD!

I love historical fiction! However, I must confess I am not very open-minded when it comes to religion. I believe the more that authors write about the different religions, even if they are writing fiction, it can confuse people. That's why I take the Bible at its word and close my mind to other ideas. The book has an intriguing plot and I really enjoy stories about the early periods! Thank you for the excellent review!

What would make a serial killer target priests? What would make some church leaders be involved in this scandal? I think this book would be an interesting read for me. Great review and I congratulate the author on being the #BOTD!

"Fire and Earth" by David West. An interesting story book, talks religious, history, romance and investigation. Sir Anthony is the main character in this story having realized the people against his doings. Hunting down the killers seems that he his doing the work of God, but he has to that he is keeping his family at risk. Congrats on your #BOTD.
