Anybody reading the book for the first will want to read because of the tittle, l love the tittle too but what they will be expecting will be different from what the writer has scribbled unless with the clear definition given " the Year of the Rabbit by Terence A. Harkin is a book of war and redemption". Strongly recommended to historical fiction lovers in search of peace and that makes it a great review. :roll2:

This is an interesting book because I’m trying to see how a soldier can be a pacifist and I admire the protagonists reservation and talents. I look forward to reading this book. Congratulations on BOTD.

The original story of the Vietnam war may be old, but I'm glad the author finds another unique way of re-telling it from a different perspective. I'd be more than happy to read this book.

Today's book of the day is a historical fiction book about the Vietnam war and the psychological impact it had on the protagonist. However, an American combat cameraman who wants to become a Buddhist monk truly sounds incredible. I'm not bothered by the profane. Congrats on being the #BOTD!

Today's BOTD is a historical fiction novel set during the time of the Vietnam War. Although this isn't the book for me, readers who enjoy original and unique stories that focus on the psychological effects of war, as well as the spiritual process of recovery, will want to give this one a try. Thanks so much for the helpful review! :-)

I wonder if the title is also related to Feng Shui or Chinese zodiac. I did some Googling and found out that a white rabbit symbolizes the moon and it means wholeness and full enlightenment in Buddhism.

I don't usually like reading books about war, but your review has me reconsidering my stance with this book. Great job!

This is a book of war and redemption. In addition to narrating the famous conflict, the book also brilliantly recounts the psychological battle of the protagonist and his constant effort to overcome his inner demons.
It is a must read.
Congratulations on Botd 🎉

I do not like books about the Vietnam War, so this book is not for me. However, congrats to the author on his achievement and BOTD.

In hindsight, everybody knows the Vietnam War was a mistake. I believe no war is justified. I don't know if I want to read this story, but I will choose music and asceticism over fighting anytime. I am curious about the title, though.

Brendan Leary seems to have a very interesting take on war. Since he, too, is a soldier, it's a great plot twist to see that he's against the war. I'm very excited to read about his take on the war(s) he's actively involved in.
Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen

A journey from a war cameraman to a Buddhist monk...that sounds fascinating. I'm normally not into war books, but this one, I want to read. Thank you for an amazing review!
