I love historical fiction. How the boys grow into men in the complicated environment of war is something that reveals the hero and the demons in everyone. I would read the book with pleasure. Thank you for this review!

Jeremy,Roger and Doc really had encounters that kept the intertwining aspects of the book,'The shot not heard around the world'.Jeremy being our main actor lived in a time that trauma was so much being that he was a hunter he had to be cautious with his hunting and fire arm so as not to be confused hence getting traped into the enemies bullets.

A war story with a focus on the characters rather than the war itself does sound alluring. In addition, the attention to details in the writing coupled with vivid and outstanding descriptions that take us to the 1700s makes for a captivating reading adventure.

This is an amazing historical fiction novel highlighting unique characterization, war, sparing lives and the consequences rising from that. The book is temporarily discounted on Amazon Kindle and has a well-written OnlineBookClub review. Congrats on the BOTD selection.

A historical fiction novel by Charlie Damitz that tells the story of Jeremy, a young American soldier who hesitates to shoot a British Redcoat during the Revolutionary War. The book explores the consequences of his decision, as well as the medical and social aspects of that era. The book has received positive reviews from readers and critics, who praised the author’s writing style, attention to detail, and portrayal of both sides of the conflict.

Congrats on BOTD!
Because of the author's excellent writing, The Revoluntionary War immediately drew the reader into the plot. Drawing the story's events at a different time gives it a distinct elegance, and the book is enjoyable to read since it has well-written characters.

You give a very informative review. It describes the book in a way that gives you the feel of the story without telling you the story. From your telling I take the book to be less about it being 1775 and more about the psychological development of a moral compass. Understanding life's choices and the consequences there of.

I don't typically read historical fiction. However, the review leads me to believe that today's BOTD is largely character driven. I believe proper character building can make or break a book. So this appeals to me as a reader. I'm also interested to see how the author has presented the role of the medical field in war.
Thank you for your review!

I don’t prefer war stories but I love reading about our inner turmoil and fighting through it. I also love when characters who aren’t supposed to interact end up being decent to each other.

Reading the sample of the book made me go through several emotions in just a few pages. I was moved by the protagonist's action to not take the shot and instead save them. I look forward to reading how he saves them using medical means.

I like historical fictions, especially when they are well-wriiren. This one is one of them. I am wondering how young is Jeremy, and if he will find the solution to the dilemma.

The first paragraph was a shocker! I thought it was a medical book but instead the author considered writing a memory on behalf of the protagonist. The use of new vocabularies like "tumultuous" and comparison between animals and humans was what gave the book away. Its amazing what writers think before creating an amazing book.
