Seems like this would be a good book for fans of action and adventure. The archaeological aspect certainly adds some intrigue, though I’d have to be a bit more hooked than I was to be able to commit to the full 700-odd pages of it.

Good review. You rated the book five stars out of five even though you identified a few errors, the lack of a table of contents, and the plot flaw. I think that warranted a one-star deduction, at the very least.

The review of "Not What Meets the Eye" highlights the novel's strengths and weaknesses effectively. The reader praises the book's simple language, well-paced plot, and engaging dialogue between characters. The unexpected plot reveals and the chemistry between Antosha and Nathious are particularly appreciated. However, the reader expresses a desire for a more prominent role for the character Sahar and notes the absence of a table of contents in the lengthy book. In my opinion, the reviewer offers a balanced and thoughtful assessment. The positive aspects of the book are well-acknowledged, and the constructive criticism is fair, considering the potential of Sahar's character and the practicality of a table of contents. Overall, the reviewer's enthusiasm for the story comes through, making it a convincing recommendation for fans of action-adventure novels.
Sincerely,
Sondang :tiphat:

Journey to a lost city and associated adventures seem to be the main attraction of the book. While going through a few sample pages in Amazon site, I felt engrossed in reading which shows that book has a rhythm and flow of its own. Nice review.

I have only sampled the first chapter, and I can agree that the pacing is superb and there's no dull moment. I guess there are more mysteries in the other chapters based on your review, and I might give it a try. nice review.

The book starts off as a slow burner, but once the action picks up, it is at an electric pace. I enjoyed the evolution of young Miss Scarlett and how she shed her naive kindness as she grew wiser and stronger, one mistake at a time. How she sidestepped every curveball and all the mistakes her parents made that she was doomed to repeat. I also enjoyed the uncanny ability of the author to paint this new world and draw the reader into it. Well-deserved BOTD. Well done, author.
