This sounds like a good book to get better educated on important aspects of art history. Based on the reviews description of the main character, it sounds like he might be mentally challenged since some of his behaviors mimic that of child as well as his inability to see Nate’s true motives. It sounds like an interesting book but probably not something I would personally read.

Good review. I love art and historical fiction so I’m excited to read this book. The cover reminded me of The Great Gatsby. It caught my attention right away.

I am so thankful to have found The Copyist. It has renewed my love for reading! I highly recommend this to all those that are, like me, struggling to find a well written, engrossing book that captures your attention and takes you on an adventure that is hard to forget.

I liked the sample for this book, so I intend reading the rest of it at some point. I know you didn't like one of the characters, but overall your review is very positive about the book. I'll take that as a recommendation - many thanks!

According to Rosemary's review,"The Copyist"is a nice combination of arts ,history and romance.18 century paintings and painters have been discussed. Abel's and Nate's co - operation has made up the story. It would be enjoyable to read this novel.

The book sounds like a creative way to learn a little about art and artists. Even though Abel Moreau had the ability to copy the great works of art, he had no confidence in producing his own. I wonder if Nate was a friend and honest person or was he exploiting Abel's abilities for his own gain. The slow romance between Abel and Suzette sounds fine to me.

The story sounds thrilling and inspiring. It highlights one of my area of interest, art. And as a lover of historical fiction books, I'll add this to my want to read shelf. Sound review. Kudos.

This book sounds interesting for me. The characters of Abel and Nate are well-structured. I don't usually read historical fiction, but this one might be set in a period of time I enjoy reading about.

A well-written historical fiction novel with a touch of romance sounds perfect for fans of both genres. I am glad you enjoyed it , and that it was easy to read. Plus, it is well edited. However, I don't think it is for me, so I will pass on this one. Thank you for the great review! :tiphat:
