From a sampling, this is an interesting historical fiction/fantasy story revolving around the Celtic people and their relationship with the Romans. This book shows great character development and I feel it is worth a second look. Well done.

Your review provides a comprehensive summary, thanks Heidi. The book sounds absolutely entertaining. With several themes and a plot set in ancient Roman times, I have added this one to my reading list. With the vivid descriptions, I enjoyed the sample read.

Great to see a fantasy book that deals with cursed magic and forbidden love. Interested to see how it ends.

Romance is not my thing but this seems like the beginning of an epic fantasy series that's well-constructed and engaging with its mix of mythology and sorcery developed in vivid descriptions. I'll look into this series. Thank you for your great review!

Nice review!
Torn between her loyalty to her family, her forbidden love for Marcellus, and her disturbing gift, will Catrin be able to break an ancient curse that was placed upon her family when she was a child?
This is a tried-and-true setup, and is clearly so for a reason. There is so much to explore within these tropes and I would assume this to be especially true for the fantasy genre.
Themes of honesty, loyalty, family, love, trust, and much more fill every page.
All my favorites!

Ancient curse, mysterious connection with Ravens, and an uncertain love blend into an intriguing historical fiction and epic fantasy, "Apollo's Raven" by Linnea Tanner.
Was the Celtic Princess and Warrior, Catrin, able to understand her connection with ravens and how to weld this power to benefit her people?
