I am a fan of pirates story and this one, Brandy' s story is quite an interesting one. Pirates' lives are really challenging since their lives are at the sea and I am very fascinated how Brandy will be able to reclaim what is due her and how she will conquer her enemies. Congrats BOTD!

I could only imagine the movie, Pirates of the Caribbean, when I read the review. It sounds truly captivating, and I look forward to knowing what Brandy chose eventually.

The plot of the book is good. There are very few pirates books that have headings to guide and this is one of them.

Although there are scenes in the book that makes me feel uncomfortable, i was really captivated. I really like the characters of Scarlet Mistress and her daughter Brandy. They are both strong and fearless. The story is really interesting. Congratulations to the author!

Pirates, curses, slavery, monarchy -- it seems this is one story I will pass on. Nothing against history, just when history is romanticized.

There are not so many pirate novels out there, and even though I'm not a huge fan of them, I appreciate this one. Congrats on BOTD.

I see betrayal in this story and the need to reclaim one's destiny. Will Brandy reclaim the Red Witch and free the crew from the Red Witch curse, or will she just live on land? I'd like to find out. Thanks for this review.

I am curious about the choice Bandy made. What is it like to live a pirate life? It will be interesting to learn more from the story. Great review
