It sounds like a very complicated situation for both main characters. I am sure it was difficult at times. Great review

I love the fact that peace through music is being portrayed, but no violence, death etc.

A more dynamic vision of a conflict that is part of world history. The plot looks quite captivating. Definitely a book I would love to read. Thanks for this detailed review.

I am not really into nation conflicts and I know it is somehow interesting but I can't get myself to like it. The friendship that will blossom here will be the highlight of the story. Thanks for the review.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting historical fiction novel focusing on a two teenagers, one Israeli and one Palestinian and their relationship that develops from them attending the same school. It might be worth another look. Well done.

Peace is an essential factor in ensuring the continued existence of the human race. I love how the author used Irith and Jamal as instruments to achieve peace between Israelis and Palestinians.

I hope Irith and Jamal were able to bridge the gap between love and hate in their families and communities. This should make an entertaining read. Lovely review. Thanks for the insights.

This book is great for many reasons: the historical background, the friendship, and the hardships of growing up in such a tough context. Congrats to the writer and the reviewer.

Irith and Jamal's relationship seems complicated and engaging. The Israel and Palestine war has been going on for decades. I don't feel that they can unite through music. I will be skipping this book as I'm not a fan of historical fiction. Thanks for the review. Congrats on the BOTD!

This sounds like a gripping historical action thriller. The author discusses sensitive topics of war and co-existence and shows how friendship and unity are the best way of all. I’m curious how the two teenagers decided on opera and what challenges they face coming from two countries and ways of life. Thank you for such an informative review!

I'm a fan of historical fiction but I don't think this is one. The events of the war are real but the characters are fictional. The story seems interesting though.
