Your review is excellent. Territorial and sovereignty disputes between Israel and Palestine are still ongoing today. This book tells of the friendship between two Israeli and Palestinian students who want to unite their differences through music. I think this story is very inspiring and encourages everyone to create peace.

I think Irith and Jamal's story is an interesting one. I am also interested in learning more about that region of the world. I'd like to see whether the boiling tension eventually dissipates and if both sides(the Palestinians and Israelis) will learn to treat each other with respect in this book.

Modern-day issues as a novel can be very interesting as it will teach possible solutions to these issues and entertain at the same time. Israeli-Palestinian friction has gone on too long. I wish the idea in this book is applicable.
