The story surrounding Catrin seems intriguing. Her weird connection with ravens, her loyalty to her family, her forbidden love for Marcellus are all appealing elements in the plot. It also includes well-developed characters.

“Historic fiction with romance and deception “ was all I wanted to hear, to pick this book up.
I look forward to finding and making sense of the crumbs left for the reader to figure out .
Thank-you for the review. :techie-reference:

The blend of historical fiction, mythology, and fantasy with strong characters like Catrin and Marcellus sounds captivating. I love the idea of a heroine torn between loyalty and love, and the connection with ravens adds such a unique twist.

In Apollo’s Raven, I enjoyed Catrin’s powers. It was lovely to read about. However, her romance with Marcellus was sweet to read. The drama that ensued from this romance is what will make readers stay. Congratulations on BOTD.

Looks like very interesting kinda book. Not your typical easy reading fantasy, but whole, sophisticated storyline involving politics and magic. It also promises great characters in historical setting. In one phrase - I can't wait to see is this book just as good in reality as it is portrayed in review!))

I really appreciate how you highlighted the depth and complexity of the characters, especially Catrin. The way you described her internal struggles and connections with others, like Marcellus, really shows how these elements add layers to the story and make it even more engaging. Thanks for sharing that perspective!

I'm not as captivated, by this book, as the reviewer. I'm not into books with sorcery, bad omens, and mythology, which appear very heavily from the first chapter. Also, after reading that the book contains some sexual content, I'm even less interested in continuing. Congratulations, on BOTD, but it's just not my cup of tea.

This could arguably be the most wonderful review I have seen on this site, and I commend the author for such a fantastic job! This book is a marvel, and Linnea Tanner truly proves herself to be an author capable of crafting a Charles Dickens worthy tale. Catrin's ability to deeply connect with Ravens, compounded by her love affair with an enemy, Marcellus, makes this book captivating at every turn. Congratulations on an extremely deserved Book of the Day accolade! Keep it up!

Celtic princess Catrin’s ability to communicate with Ravens can either help the Celtics win or cause their downfall. Her forbidden love for Roman Marcellus is another concern. There’s the ancient curse that adds to suspense. The mystery draws in readers.

This book weaves a captivating mix of historical fiction and epic fantasy, filled with elements of sorcery, prophecy, and mythology. The character of Catrin, with her mystical connection to ravens and the weight of an ancient curse on her family, adds depth and intrigue to the story. Nice review.
