Wow! A woman who helped save two hundred and fifty soldiers is definitely heroic. Thank you for the review.

I love the sentence "It's Lily, just Lilly, nothing else"...it depicts the resilience and courage of this woman and her Belgian counterpoints to weather through everything to give aid these 250 airmen. It feels like it would be an immersive and rich experience if I were to fully complete it, and from a different perspective too! I shall have to keep a look out for those"timeline" signs though. :D

Nice review! That’s an interesting point about taking care with people's mannerisms. It would have been a terrifying game trying not to get caught. It is disappointing to read about the repetition within the story, though. I’m never a fan of that.

This sounds like an amazing story! As well as a great source of historical facts. I love historical fiction and how it it is a pairing of imagination with history. It makes history seem more alive. This particular story is one that I am certainly interested in reading. The story of Lily, a Belgian heroine to hundreds of American and Canadian heroes, sounds absolutely fascinating.

I think its wonderful when someone writes a book to shine the light on "unsung heroes" in our history. I'm sure there are lots that will never get recognized, so bravo to, Code Name Lily!

I have a penchant for historical fiction, but not so much on war stories. WWII is a time in history that I haven't yet read so much on, thus I'm counting on this book to make it as pleasurable an experience as possible while providing the appropriate stimulation I'd need into researching those hidden aspects therein highlighted. Thanks for the expository review.

I am a lover of history, historical writing, as well as novels, so this book definitely appeals to me, and I have already downloaded it to read. The details sound fascinating and also the personalities involved during that time and I am looking forward to reading it. Just a pity that all those airmen who were rescued are now passed away now, as I would love to have heard their inputs. Thank you for a great review which I enjoyed reading.

I fancy reading historical fiction novels. And this book seem to portray a fascinating story. I will read the book to find out how the Man mentioned in the review discovered that his dad played a part in WWII. Great review.
