The book delves into a heavy topic. We've heard of instances where political prisoners are subjected to interrogation and torture. Through Jamsheed's story, we see how security officers can be used to perpetrate violence in the name of following the law. An interesting read. Thank you for a detailed and enlightening review.

Wow! Sounds intriguing. But historical fiction is not my kind of genre, so I will pass on this one. Great review

This book sounds like it is very intense. It would be difficult for me to read since I get caught up in the cruelty perpetrated in this kind of situation. The review was detailed and interesting, thanks.

Thanks for the review but I'll pass. The brutality & torture is a bit much for me although I do recognise these are things people still go through in this day & age across the world.

I like reading historical stories but I don't think I have the stomach for all the torture being described in this book. Thanks for your review.

I am not a fan of stories depicting a lot of politics and war. I'll pass. Good job with the review though.

"The Pahlavi Sword" by Jemil Metti - An expose of a cruel and torturous regime, told by one of its officers. His quandary is that his brother is targetted for investigation (which includes torture). He wants to save his brother, and keep the rest of the family safe, including himself. Thanks for the very detailed review.

The Pahlavi Sword sounds like a highly realistic, brutal look at one man's impossible situation and the whole system embracing him from every side. My interest is definitely piqued. Thank you for your insightful review!

Pahlavi sword by metti, i love it. But i didn't get one thing clear, the torture and mal-treatment both in the prison, is quite unacceptable. It is very good to make urself pleased and satisfied with everyone and not stigmatize anyone. This story is really a teacher of reality.

This looks like and interesting read, if not disturbing due to its violence. Tha nature of the narrative captured my attention, and I like that the narrator is not a hero. Nice review :)
