I am not a fan of historical fiction and also the fact that I won't be comfortable reading this as I am an Indian. The storyline seems all good and the ending must be also good. I was intrigued at the start and the way they survive the storm is explained exquisitely. Great work on your review.

This book seems fascinating. Mixing some fiction with real-life instances has made this story very relatable for the audience. I would love to know how the love story of Bill and Becky progressed. Thanks for the insightful review.

The book seems interesting from the description you've written. I also liked the part where you said the author has introduced imaginary characters in real-life events. I want to know more about what happens in the book so I'm adding it to my TBR.

"Not the Same Water" by Karen Black, is definitely going on my bucket list of to read books this year. It transported me to the exact scene while I was reading. A wonderful effort at writing a romantic historical novel. A job well done Karen. Congrats.

It’s cool that the author can basically teach history in such a creative and interesting way; nonetheless, romance isn’t my thing and I wouldn’t finish this book.

This novel seems like a good historical romance despite the missing element of surprise. I'm more interested in the historical elements, so I'm willing to give it a try. Thanks for your review!

I was never interested in historical fictions till I came across Storm and Silence series on Wattpad, and v realised that it can be really great if the author works on making it engaging. As this book has been described as engaging, I might be willing to try it. It's okay that it's predictable, I think all romances are. The couple gets together despite all hardships and obstacles and they also obtain their personal goals (most of the time) by the end. I'm good with a happy, predictable ending as long as the book keeps me hooked.

This book sounds very interesting! I found it interesting that there are five events that are based on real historical events. It also sounds cool to learn about the unwritten social rules of the past. Thanks for the review!

Sounds like a easy read for moments when your mind is tired of overthinking. I do enjoy books that jumó from past to future, but I understand the fact that it is sometimes overwhelming to keep the facts straight.

This historical romance novel sounds intriguing. I'm interested in the story of how a woman became a doctor in those dreadful times. Definitely a book to check out.

Fantastic review! I loved your insight on the predictably of the plot. I also am an avid romantic novel reader, and I agree that it can be hard to find a twist in the plot that truly surprises me. That said, I am looking to branch out with my reading of historical fiction. So, I was pleased to hear that the author did a fantastic job setting the scene in the time period. Thanks for the awesome review!
