A book that combines historical fiction with Eygptian mythology. I am especially intrigued with how Cleopatra's role plays out in this novel.

Casper receives an invitation to visit Queen Cleopatra. This is a very interesting storyline and the review does a good job of explaining his fears as well as excitement. Is he a pawn or a true patriot? I think I will be able to enjoy this historical book that features stories of the Roman Empire.

I haven't read much about Roman history although I have been an ardent student of history. I should grab this book.

I like that the author has combined historical facts and fiction in a very successful way so that this fine line is almost invisible. I also like the fact that the author has gathered in one place many important personalities of the era from Cleopatra and Caesar through King Herod to The Magi from the East.

Exciting indeed. Reading your review has piqued my interest in this book. Though I've never been interested in the history of the Roman Empire, I think I might give this one a shot.

It is very cool that because of the limited availability of historical records, the author could take creative liberty in crafting this story based on actual events and people. Historical fiction isn’t my favorite, but this one sounds well done. Thanks for the review!

I've watched movies about Cleopatra, but never paid attention to the character. Your review actually piqued my interest in the character, Cleopatra.

I'm a big fan of Historical fiction, currently reading The Fox (also historical fiction). Though I don't know much about Cleopatra. I'm already captivated by this book.

This sounds like an interesting book. Casper's invitation to visit the Queen opened a whole new world for him. If I couldn't read anymore of the book than that I would be happy! I love stories that have royalty in the plot. Thanks for the great review!
