Interesting story though. However all other things being equal l pray the mission to work together on an assignment about the Quebec Bridge disaster will be successfully accomplished. Great review.

This book sounds excellent, especially the way it weaves engineering and history into the fictional storyline. I'm curious to find out why the bridge collapsed and if it could have been avoided. Congrats on the BOTD!

It sounds like a good book. I wanted to learn more about the history of the Quebec Bridge after reading this book. I hope to like a book in this context, and I'm anxious to find out what the shocking disclosures are while they have fun and reminisce about their undergraduate days. Congrats on BOTD!

Sounds fascinating to me! Historical fiction with riddle hidden and mystery uncovered, shocking truth discovered in ancient journal. To my shame, living in different side of the world I have no idea how true is the event of Quebec Bridge collapse in 1907, but I am definitely going to learn from this book even though entering is not my area of expertise. Sincere congrats on BOTD!

Thank you for the helpful review. It sounds like the main characters have complex personalities and an interesting dynamic. I don’t know anything about the Quebec Bridge collapse, but it sounds tragic and like a useful engineering lesson.

The Bridge by Andrew Palmer starts out well introduction three main characters, then it seems like it might narrow down to just two. The story developers through the research of the two engineering students who find a journal that belonged to the engineer working on a bridge that actually collapsed.
The sample was quite short but the official review fleshed out a bit more of the story for me so I think it sounds like a great read. Thank you.

I think the frame story is clever. Corruption and greed come to mind. I am guessing these human frailties figured in the collapse of the bridge. Was there a true Alec?

Some of the coolest pieces of works are when fact and fiction blend together into reality. As I read about the journal from someone doubting the Quebec Bridge, I almost believed that this was a genuine story and I find the believability makes this story sounds like an incredible read. I can't wait to read this book once I can!

It sounds kinda cool to have real historical events with fictional ones. This book has a lot of twists and it sounds interesting. I'd love to read more about Esther and Ben as they work together.
