This kind of story would not normally catch my attention. I was truly interested in finding out exactly how Jacob will ultimately take his revenge. The characters in this story were very well written but also with enough characteristics that anyone can relate to them. Well done. The casual drops of Jewish tradition made for a very compelling read. I cannot wait to finish.

I love historical fiction and especially when there is romance involved! It sounds like Jacob and Heschel turned out to be strong men after their father left them, and they were raised in a brothel! I love the plot of this book. I can imagine the pain they felt, after losing their Mother and their father leaving them behind to search for greener pastures. But it's a good thing they turned out well. I just wish Jacob will overcome his nightmare and they will be good again. nice review.
