I just love stories where the characters make something of themselves despite being handed bad cards in life. Your review is great.

I must admit that I know nothing of the life of John Morrissey. This sounds like well-written and well-researched historical fiction. I really enjoyed your review.

:D Your review of this book, along with the short sample I read, has certainly inspired me to read the entire thing. Thank you.

A nice tale of hope can be found in the book "Ambitions" by Frank Baillargeon. The book tells us the tale of John Morrissey's parents, Tim and Judith Morrissey, two poor Irish immigrants. I want to read this book.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

In such a dark and depressing world, it is very important that everyone clings to the hope of success, especially if you're from a disadvantaged background. Such stories are important to the upliftment of communities. I'll definitely be giving this a read. Awesome review!

This sounds like a very uplifting book. Maybe I'll try to read it later on. I even look up John Morrissey to find out that he was a bare-knuckle champion. Thanks for the review.

John started street fighting because of his circumstances. But from there, he changed it to pure tenacity and diligence. This tale is motivating. Your review is fascinating. I'd like to congratulate the author for winning BOTD.

It is only under great pressure that diamonds are created, similarly, John's need to provide is what I believe will drive him to become a professional fighter and achieve his dream. I am in high hopes for his success and intend to read the book to find out more. The review is also invigorating and interesting. kudos

I am really not into these "Life and Love of John and Susannah Morrissey" kind of stories that basically amount to memoir and, in this current case, self-made book and inspiration literature as well. Apologies, I am not interested in fight circuit's inner workings and will have to pass it, but all the same, congratulations on BOTD!

As the review says this story could motivate the youth if they're having doubts about the power of hard work and determination and anyone else who needs a refresher of energy and encouragement to keep working tirelessly toward one's dreams.

I found the fact that John didn't take his street fighting negatively but used it to pursue a possible career with it. This novel encourages people to hope and work hard. Lovely review.
