I was so sad when the sample finished! This book is a must-read! The characters are well-written, and each one has a distinct personality. The plot is inspired from the reality of Nazi Germany. It is a Bildungsroman that could bring tears to the readers' eyes.

Having studied the period of history directly before WW2, u found this book to particularly resonate with me. Looking forward to seeing this historical fiction and excited to see how it sheds light on the individual back then.

The depth and complexity of the characters in Once We Were Family: In Nazi Germany sound truly remarkable. It's incredibly satisfying to read a book where each character serves the overarching plot effectively. The Klaus family seems to be a rich ensemble, with each member facing their own challenges and contributing to the larger narrative.

Once we were family by Nancy Saling Graham, is a well-written historical fiction novel. It's more of a family drama and displays different personalities.
The novel is emotional and very interesting, you won't put it down till you are done.
Congratulations on BOTD

This seems like a great historical fiction set in Nazi Germany. I wonder how the Klaus family fared during such a tumultuous period. I'll check this book out.

This looks like a promising book to read. A once happy family turns sad and separates because of the Nazis or Nazi party. Congratulations on BOTD!

I have read the review. This story is very sad and depressing. I would have no interest in this kind of book. So it leaves me out in the cold.

Any novel that is written about Nazi Germany would, indeed, be very heart-wrenching and emotional. What happened to those people during those times was horrific. Thank you for the great review! It made me interested in reading this book.

Once We Were Family talks about a family in Italy that was once a happy family before the Second World War. Which separated them as some of them were forced to go to war.

The whole issue of Nazis and Jews during World War II,in my opinion, is one of the most shameful and despicable episodes in human history. It is hard to imagine the killing on such a scale, pain, tragedy and suffering spread. Both sides of my family were subjected to it and I really have no desire to add more to their stories. Congrats with BOTD!

I have always loved stories that take place during Second World War! This setup sounds interesting; I’d like to know how the surroundings and Nazi ideology affect Annalise and her siblings. Thank you for the intriguing review!
