I am quite confused why this book is labeled as Historical Fiction when the storyline obviously points out that this is Sci-Fi/Fantasy, considering it is all about Magi Order, divine interventions and a prophesied champion. Not to say it's a bad thing, because I love the genre and find the plot interesting enough to dedicate my time. Congratulations on BOTD!

The review is so in-depth. I really appreciate the review and details given in the review. The story, however, does not interest me that much to read it.
Congratulations on the BOTD!!

This sounds very interesting: a Biblical historical fiction. I'm most attracted to this book because it tries to explain the role of stars in the happenings around Jesus' time. In addition, the political climate and intrigue seem to add more fun to this novel and entertaining read.

Just like the reviewer of "Magi Apprentice," I never realized how much the study of the stars played into Biblical events. I always thought that there was a prophesy and that the Magi were supposed to watch for the appearance of the Star of Bethlehem and then follow it to the baby Jesus. Who knew there was so much political intrique? Now I'm intrigued and I've got to go finish the book.

I recently read the historical fiction novel and was impressed by the author's ability to craft a captivating story centered around the Eastern Magi mentioned in the Bible. Despite their brief appearance in scripture, there is a rich history surrounding their existence and the political atmosphere in the Middle East during the years leading up to the birth of Jesus Christ.
