This is an interesting historical fiction story that deals in loss, grief love and the will to create new futures. The author wrote a masterful and captivating plot which is effectively summarised in the well crafted onlinebookclub review. I would recommend that all historical fiction fans first read the review before starting the book.

I'm not much for historical fiction, but this certainly sounds like a deep and uplifting story of love. Looks like a good read for those interested in the genre.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

This book looks great, with the answers to questions most of us ask when those we love leave us temporarily. The characters seems relatable, and I'm intrigued on how this plays into the historical fiction category.

I am glad that the book has been professionally edited; however, based on the description it doesn't seem like one I would read. I like stories about family, but there also needs to be conflict that adds the desire to keep reading. It's a great review though!

The story taught us to be strong and accept and have the courage to face all the challenges of life, each character here has their own story to tell, it is an eye opener to all of us as we continue to live there are always trials along the way and with the help of other people and with faith in God we continue to move forward.
I like the story, everyone should read it, I really learn from it.

I appreciate the fact that this book reiterates the importance of family values, hard work, courage and integrity. Since it is also profesionally edited, it would make a good read for those who enjoy romance, family sagas and historical fiction.

This is a subject I have recently pondered myself. I lost my father-in-law and my father within 9 days of each other. They were not "friends" but as tied by family, were friendly. I wonder how they have met in heaven and how my father has been reunited with my mom. My parents were born in 1933, so this timeline is very similar to my parents real life. This could be very insightful to my personal life.

Nice review! I also just read the first chapter of the book and love the premise of a daughter, no matter how old, turning to her father for insight and advice. Interested to see how this book goes!
