I don't know much about the rubber boom, but I'm sure this historical book will make some light. I like that it's also entertaining. I would be glad to degust this fascinating book. Thank you for your review! Great one!

An adventure book with historical aspect sounds interesting. Would be nice to read about the places I've been to or want to travel. The sense of expedition makes the book even more appealing to me.

I can't help to feel bad for the brothers because they had to suffer a lot because of a quack. I feel like this is a fun book to read because of the tragicomedy in their adventure. Thanks for a great review!

Before We Died is part historical fiction and part adventure novel. It is about two brothers who go to South America to seek their fortunes tapping rubber trees. I had never thought of the invention of rubber creating such an interesting story. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your excellent review.

This sounds interesting. I wasn't sure what the book was all about after reading its title but I must confess that it is very captivating and catchy. Thanks for the review. I am considering reading this.

Books which make us research further are always interesting. Also that it includes comedy aspect eventhough it is a tragic book lightens the reading experience. Congrats on BOTD!

I read the sample and review. It sounds like an excellent book to read bringing alive an aspect of the world most of us don't know about. If you did know about it, it would be even better. The brothers sound very authentic and being a touch of the blarney. Thanks for the review.

Even though the Irish and Portuguese usage sound interesting, I am not interested in historical adventures, so I'll pass on reading this tale.

I love historical fiction books! This one starts out great and I think will be a great read. The review has me even more intrigued and interested in finishing this book. It sounds like it will cause a gambut of emotional responses, though! At least I can say I was warned.
