A historical book whose main theme revolves around the unwavering faith in God. I especially the part about how the Protestant Reformation threatens the papacy.

The Waldensian Martyrs by Pam Vause is a remarkable historical fiction novel that transports us to the fifteenth century. The story unfolds in Borgata Cyrus, an Italian village located high in the Italian Alps, near the French border. It is a very good BOTD.

Thank you for your informative review. I'm glad that you liked it so much. Though historical fiction isn't a genre I usually care about, the plot for this book does sound interesting. I'm anxious to read about those willing to do so much to follow what their religion tells them to do. Since the ebook is free, I have no excuse than to read it.

"The Waldensian Martyrs" seems like an interesting story about the de Vaux family and their challenges while staying true to their beliefs. The real photos must add a special touch to the story. Congrats on BOTD!

The thoroughness of this review was appreciated. I liked the fact that it gave a knowledgeable synopsis of the book; while not giving away the specifics of the story. The author was also conscious of potentially sensitive topics and violence.

The mix of history, faith, and real locations sounds deeply immersive. The added photographs must make the story feel even more authentic.

The Waldensian Martyrs by Pam Vause is a historical fiction novel set in the 15th century. It follows Pietro, a Waldensian youth and medical practitioner, as he navigates the dangers of spreading reformation ideas under the watchful eye of the Pope. Themes of faith, resilience, and persecution are central to the story

The review is usefully detailed. The storyline of adherence to faith, resistance, and the fanaticism of one group over another. The story takes place in Italy, which makes the scenery an attraction. The book may not suit me, but I hope it reaches the audience. Congrats on BOTD

The pages I sampled have lovely pictures that make the narrative relatable for the readers. The struggles of the Waldensian community and the acts of the papal army make great content for interested historical fiction readers.

I'm definitely reading this soon! To stand tall against people who forces you to join their religion or get killed, I find commendable. There's a few things mentioned in the review that I didn't know about, for instance how cruel the Pope were. So I'm curious to see how this all unfolds. Thanks for a great review. Congrats on BOTD and thanks for the free book.
