This isn't my kind of book but rescuing Jonny cook from the Malaya jungle sounds like quite the adventure. Thank you for your review.

I'm quite impressed that a book on war lacks profanity, not even curse words. Thanks for the review.

There's so much incorporated into this book. This makes for a fun-filled, adventurous narrative. How can there be a dull moment with everything going on in the book?

The plot is supported by a diverse cast of well-developed characters. I particularly enjoyed the way the author brought his characters to life through the use of their native dialects. Not only could I hear the Aussie and British accents as I read; I was introduced to new vocabulary from different languages, too.
I love a book written so you can "hear" the characters! The setting for this installment is new to me, and I'm looking forward to finding out what the Warramunga skills are.

This sounds like a good plot. Kidnapping gives unending suspense in a book until you learn what happens at the end. Thanks for the wonderful review.

The three characters in this third book "Skills of the Warramunga" by Greg Kater are on the quest to rescue Colonel Johnny Cook who is kidnapped and held captive in the jungles of Malaya by bandits. The characters are developed very nicely by the author to make it appeling.

The storyline of this book is somewhat complicated. I love that it is action packed and detailed to the core. This kind of book keeps the readers engaged to the very end.

At first glance at the title, I'd have thought it was set in Malaysia. Since this is the third book in a series, I'm going to skip it for now. It's full of adventures and action for a historical fiction that involves politics and crime. I'm afraid I'll have trouble keeping up with the details because I haven't read the prequels. Congratulations on the BOTD.

Thanks for the informative review. I like that this book is action-packed and can be read as a standalone. However, I'm not sure I'd want to do that.

This book follows the tracking and rescue of Colonel John Cook who was kidnapped after being mistaken for another government official. It's intriguing to see how the story unfolds.

Today's book of the day is an action-packed novel with several crime activities like kidnapping, murder, robbery, burglary, etc. The cover and the book also look very attractive to me. Congrats to the author on being the #BOTD!

This is an excellent review! Although I enjoy historical fiction, I am not one to read action/adventure novels, so I will pass on this one. The idea that the kidnappers mistook one unknown man for another is a bit funny to me since they will not be achieving their goal, whatever that may be. It does make me a bit curious as to when and how they learned of their mistake.

For personal reasons, I do not read this type of book, though it appears to be a very interesting book, I think I'll pass. I really love your review.
