An interesting, detailed plot with well-developed, memorable characters and revolving around thought-provoking themes! Plus, it is well edited. Well, it sounds a must-read for fans of historical fiction novels! I enjoyed the sample, but it is not my genre. Therefore, I will pass. Thank you for the detailed review!

The author is definitely talented, but I haven't read the first book yet. I like to go in order. The themes aren't really for me, but your review makes it enticing. Thanks!

Most of us can go to further length and make sacrifices just for the sake of those we love. Irma's Daughters by Jennie Linnane sounds like one of the kind of books I can never overlook. With the great plot and amazing themes, I contemplating on reading this book sooner. Congratulations to the author on the BOTD. Great review.
Books are beautiful.

Thanks for the review, but I wasn't interested in Ironbark Hill, and I definitely don't want to read this "character-driven drama [that] highlights the strength of family and the sacrifices one makes for those she loves."

I truly appreciate the themes brought out in "Irma's Daughters." I enjoy reading historical fiction, and the fact that there are different narrators adds to its desirability to me. It seems like a wonderful saga covering so many years after the death of a cruel stepfather and husband. I'm looking forward to reading this book and its prequel, "Ironbark Hill." Wonderful review!

As long as it is an historical fiction and deals with family saga then it is a must read. Conflicts and resolutions are always essential in a good work of art and it's abundant in this wonderful masterpiece.

The review covered the bases nicely, although one quote in it summed things up well enough: "Age is not a shabby coat..."

It sounds like this novel is a peculiar dive into the whirlpool of emotions! I love it!

Thanks for your review! ^^

I enjoy historical adventure novels and I think this sequel to Ironbark Hill will be a great story. I root also for Natalie as she fends off racism in Australia. Nice review.

A historical novel set in Australia that focuses on family sounds compelling. Racism, gender, and social class issues make it a deep exploration. Your review is beautifully written.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting historical fiction and is a sequel to Ironback Hill. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

I'm okay with family drama stories. Though I love adventure in my stories, I'll still read this book because the story sounds promising. Awesome review.

Good review. I loved the first one so I’m thrilled to see that there is a sequel. I always wondered what would have happened to the family afterwards. I’ll definitely add this to my must reads.

Though this sounds like a nice book, I'm not a fan of family drama.
