This is not what I usually read, but this book is actually really interesting and fascinating. I might give this book a try.

Arthur Telling's novel, The Incarnation: Cleopatra's Story of Jesus, is a historical fiction that offers readers an enthralling narrative set in ancient Egypt. The novel explores various themes, including reincarnation, early Christianity, the letters of the Apostle Paul, and the Gospel of Thomas, a heretical gospel.

The book sounds interesting and I would like to find out more about this different perspective of the life of Jesus and to read about ancient Egypt, the ties between Mary Magdalene and Julius Caesar and Cleopatra and that heretic gospel. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

The Incarnation: Cleopatra's Story of Jesus, written by Arthur Telling interests me as it seems to explore how Western scholars have collectively ignored a radical alternate version of the birth of Christianity and its canons. It’s a good way to learn more about the Gospel of Thomas, the crucifixion, and how Mary Magdalene has blood ties to Julius Caesar and Cleopatra, as well as her relationship with Jesus.

An altogether different version of Christianity? It does not sound realistic that this version was ignored for several years. But I guess one could read this book, as it also provides references in history to justify this version. The fictitious narrative or dialogue does not do damage to the overall story, I suppose. Congratulations on the #BOTD

The book grapples with provocative concepts, weaving a narrative that questions widely accepted ideas. The suggestion that Mary Magdalene's lineage is linked to Julius Caesar and Cleopatra, coupled with her connection to Jesus, is bold and, for some, may seem implausible. The departure from traditional scholarship offers a radical reinterpretation of Christianity's origins, which may pose a challenge for certain readers to accept. :techie-reference: :techie-reference:

I'm a very traditional Christian and think that "The Incarnation" provides an 'interesting' approach toward the life of the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Also, the book reveals more about Paul's missionary journeys and letters. I'd read this book just out of curiosity but not hoping to discover the truth, as the truth as been already unveiled.

I enjoy reading Historical Fiction and, while I can't say that I am unfamiliar with the story of Cleopatra, according to a review, this book represents an interesting spin on the events described. I just hope there won't be too much leaning in the direction of religion, because as an agnostic, I prefer to avoid religious literature. Still, congratulations on the BOTD!

This is an interesting take on historical topics including ancient Egypt, reincarnation, the early years of Christianity, the letters of the Apostle Paul, and the Gospel of Thomas. It has both positive and negative aspects, however, it is aimed towards a non-Christian audience mostly. I personally think it has a nice flowing storyline and the historical tidbits are fun to learn about. Congrats on the BOTD!

The Incarnation: Cleopatra's Story of Jesus, written by Arthur Telling, is exciting but different from the traditional history of Jesus. It's a historical fiction novel. It takes you on a thrilling journey through ancient Egypt, the inception of Christianity. While it may not be everyone's cup of tea, those who are open to exploring unusual and diverse perspectives on faith and history.

Although the book appears to be well written from the pages I read, I don't particularly care for Christian fiction, so I'll take a pass on this. I have, however, sampled some of the exegetical writings devoted to the gnostic gospels, so the concept for the book, involving the Gospel of Thomas, is interesting. I congratulate the author on his achievement.
