This book skillfully portrays not only all kinds of love— healthy, unhealthy, curious, codependent, devoted, heartbreaking, experimental, resilient, open, hidden but also the ups and downs, the hardhsips, and challenges that they go through in order to discover themselves, open up and live and love freely.

Amora did a good job at keeping her family, however, the novel seem full of romance which I'm not interested in.

A thought provoking book needs an eloquent review and the official review does justify it. A book of era gone by and the review mentioned that In Detail and thoroughly.

As someone who loves historical fiction, I feel like this book is a treasure that awaits me. Life in the Roman Empire is rarely presented in fictional books. Congrats for BOTD!

Amora is a woman who found herself miserable after her daughter was killed. Her husband became violent, but Amora found her peace in Christianity. The plot of this book is set in the Roman era, and the story is fascinating.

That is terrible to have to choose between vengeance and forgiveness for someone that kills and abuses your child. Poor Amora! This does seem like a thought-provoking book. Great job on your review, I enjoyed reading it.

I'm not into historical fiction so I'll pass on this one. Thanks for the review!

Amora has a hard task of trying to forgive who took away her child. This book sounds like an interesting story of early Christianity. Thanks for a great review.

I'm more into the ancient Roman aspect rather than the Christian belief aspect. I think this will make of an interesting story. Thanks for the detailed review.

When forgiveness and vengeance collide, such a situation creates a dilemma. Amora is such a courageous woman, but it is not easy to forgive the murderer of your child. From the reading of the sample pages, I deduce that as a Christian, Amora will choose the right way based on her religious principles. I can't wait to find out how the tension is resolved. Thanks for your awesome review.

This book seems very intriguing. It is very difficult to choose the path of forgiveness. Knowing somebody murdered your daughter and not wanting revenge is a very saint-like and difficult thing to do. Leo was right too, and his thirst for vengeance was justified. I am in no way saying violence is right, but this is what anyone would feel if they were in his place. Thank you for the interesting review.
