It seems like an intriguing examination of the motivations behind the deception. Congratulations on Book of the Day!

I'm not a fan of historical fiction, but I wonder why Elizabeth would put up with a racist fiance. I won't be reading this book, but I hope she realises that she doesn't need to hide to be loved. Thank you for the wonderful review!

This story seems to be deep and touching especially for people of color. Elizabeth's actions seem to be questionable and yet justified. I can't wait to read it. Thanks for the review.

After reafing the review for "Rebirth in academy",whatcis drawing me to towatds the book is the way the reviewer has expkained how the book depicts two strong eldetly female characters.
We do come across a lot of string female charactwrs, but as the reviewer has pointed out,I have rarely come across books or stories that portraus older woman and string independent characters and along with making the lead characters.
I am reading this book ASAP ,also its available for free on kindle!

A historical fiction story book "Rebirth in Acadi" by Susan Swanson, which follows an African American woman, Elizabeth Bancroft, who tries to hide her past. Intriguing story to read.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

"would recommend Rebirth in Acadi to people who like reading historical fiction with fully developed female characters." Thank you for pointing out that this story is about women and the challenges they meet in a man's world

This book reminds me of The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett! It also concerns a Black female who could pass as a White female, will definitely check this out and see how the two overlaps. Thank you so much for the wonderful review!

I have read the first three chapters in a...gulp. Nicely written indeed, the reviewer is right in giving the novel 4 stars. Well-drawn characters and nice descriptions. Worth reading!

I don't mind when books are a bit slow in the start. They give one a chance to connect with the characters. Otherwise I love historical fictions, it's like entertainment coming from another era. It's a beautiful thing to experience.

Immigration and racism are two topics of particular relevance today. The book brings out both these themes. A good read for the general public.
