I am a historical fiction fan, and I love stories with a western theme, so this book sounds like a good fit for me! It is in my Kindle library right now, so I am eager to begin reading it! Thanks for the excellent review!!

I hope Joshua's friendship with Shadow Hawk brought understanding and respect...
And I especially enjoyed how you incorporated your own life into your review. I'm glad Native cultures are highly appreciated where you live.
Great job!

The way the review romanticizes the story line is one of a kind, almost makes me want to read this book. I especially like the personal touch about preserving lost languages and opening the youth to the old ways about their cultures.

I'm a fan of historical fiction books. This book tells about the Great Sioux War, which is a subject I know nothing about. It's interesting to discover something new through a book. Can't wait to check it out. Congrats!

I love how this book seems to show that clashing cultures doesn’t mean friendship can’t be maintained. It is nice that there will probably be a historical educational element too. Congratulations on book of the day!

These Sacred Lands by James Harold Kelly is a historical fiction that captures the happenings in the great Sioux War fought in the late 1800s. Great book!

Historical fiction is not my thing but this novel is well-researched, being based on a lot of historical information, so it seems interesting to get into the native Lakota culture and a dark side of white people's colonization in today's USA. Thank you for your great review!
