I know nothing about Cajun people so this novel is a must read for me. Thanks for the thorough review!

Jimmie Martinez's 'Cajun Crow and the Mockingbird' appears to be a compelling journey into the rich tapestry of Cajun culture and the intricate nuances of racial relationships. The character of Noel, blending charm and intellect, piques my interest regarding the obstacles he encounters.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting historical fiction following Noel Corbin, who was born of Cajun parents and with a goal of marrying his childhood love and living peacefully. His mother however wants him to go to college and so travels to live in New Orleans where he grows up. The issue is that he finds out that he may have more enemies than he originally thought. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

It seems that the narrative rekindles the Cajun community's fascination. It offers an enlightening portrayal of racial dynamics and the judicial system during an era marked by widespread racial segregation. This story sheds light on a bygone era that will certainly resonate with aficionados of history, culture, and heritage.

An easy read fast-paced book with interesting themes is fascinating. I love Ella, Noel's nurse mother and her generosity. I would love to learn about the Cajun history too. Congrats on BOTD. Nice review.

Noel has an interesting story to tell. What past came knocking at his door to the extent of changing his life? I can't wait to read the intrigue in this book. Good review.

With modern trends, the title sounds to me like X-Men meets Hunger Games. It is the first thoughts that spring to mind and I can't help, but believe that it was somewhat deliberate action on the author's part. Unnecessary, if you want my opinion, because after reading the premise described I am sure that this great book doesn't need any boosters!

I think a brilliant protagonist is what sets the a great book from a good one, and I think Noel is such an amazing and refreshing protagonist. Congratulations on your excellent review!

It is such a shame that racism is still very much alive for people all around the globe. The author did well to show what the struggles of colored people are like while also showing how Noel got through it. Thanks for the review!

It seems interesting to know about the history of the Cajun people. Also, the themes of prejudice operating within the justice system and other current fights in our society are engaging.
