I enjoyed your review. The author's writing style is creative, and I thoroughly enjoyed your review and the sample of the book that I read. I do not care for wrestling myself, but members of my family do, and they are always discussing it. This seems like an easy book to read when you just want to sit, read and enjoy the day.

I like historical books. This one seems to talk about the history of wrestling. This sounds interesting. I'll like to know more about wrestling in early times. I'll also like to know more about this Goldust trio. Good review.

As someone who has never had an interest in wrestling and what it is in the modern day, it's fascinating to see someone tell a story about it through a historical fiction lens. I like how fleshed out the narrator's voice is and truly love historical fiction that lets the reader forget its fiction. I might have to read this one!

As much as I love historical fictions, I don't think I will enjoy reading this one. I am not a fan of wrestling, never been, so even if learning more about Squirt's journey to be successful in his career path would have been interesting, the fact that the books involves wrestling doesn't pique my interest. However, thank you for the interesting review and congratulations to the author on book of the day.

This book is beautifully written in the first person narrative that follows a young boys dream to becoming a wrestler in the Goldust Era. I especially admire the writing style as it is told as if your are listening to someone share their life's experiences. Congrats on the BOTD!

Something is interesting about reading a book with first-person pronouns. However, I've noticed that some of them sparsely mention the main character's name. I guess this book mentioned Malone's name from the beginning. Nice review.

Squirt sounds like an inspiring character. There's also a story of when he was young. Now, that's the part I like most in plots like this. I like reading how the characters build themselves from scratch to what they were. Great review.

Very interesting, I'm actually a wrestling fan. To know that this was just creative writing, would have thought he was telling his Bio. He was pretty determined at the age of 12. This gives us a visual on how it was in the beginning. When it all started Through squirts eyes.

Today's BOTD has a narrative that flows naturally from one episode to the next is usually enjoyable to read.
It appears that the book has several components that make it easy to read.

I'm not a fan of historical fiction but I've read the review and the book seems interesting and John seems to "wrestle" all his life for a good future. I would gladly read about the history of wrestling but in short. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Pleasantly surprised to see this book was a work of fiction rather than an autobiography. Going to give this a go.

I am so impressed with the author’s style and quality of writing. The depth of the character and his voice is so clear, you might forget he is a work of fiction. It's wonderful to read.

This fictional story focuses on professional wrestling. Squirt Malone is an interesting character because of his personality, tenacity, and desire to succeed. The first-person writing style is very well performed.
