The book highlights the story of John who did not give up despite the hardships. He was strong physically and mentally. The story if John is of resilience and hard work. It also gives a glimpse of how an individual and families go through as immigrants. A must read book!

From the review, this sounds like an inspirational story. The author gives hope to people with disadvantaged backgrounds. He shows and proves by using John, John developed passion for Street fighting and he made a profession out of it. He managed to not let his background define him, he defined himself and made a name for himself. I recommend this book to everyone without hope of tomorrow, without hope of changing their lives. The will definitely learn perseverance.

Good plot, well-drawn characters. Unlike the reviewer, I preferred the mother, Judith, as she was portrayed in the introduction and from the short description the reader can realise what a strong person she was. The only son of the family will become a fighter.

I already admire John's hard work and determination. I have no doubt that the qualities will be very inspirational to readers. Also, after sampling a few chapters, I like how the author builds up the story, and I think it's worth reading. nice review.

Coming from a poor background with his parents struggling to keep the family fed and lots of siblings, John rose above his circumstances. An inspiring tale of success. Thank you for the great review.

I love John's ambition to get what he wants in life, despite his difficult childhood. If people were to focus on what they can change and not on what they cannot, life would be so much easier. Thanks for the review!

This book definitely teaches a lot of lessons as well as what perseverance can do. It's really interesting and will certainly keep readers glued to the end. It's certainly not a water of time and money. So far, I do enjoy reading.
