This book is similar to one I recently reviewed about the gold rush. This seems to be an intriguing, action-packed novel with a lot of emotions. Thanks for this engaging review!

"The Second Five" by Raymond Maher is a sequel to the book "The Deadly Five", but it can also be read as a stand-alone. At the center of the plot, set in the 1860s, are miners in search of gold. The book is professionally edited.

I'd read book one first, but this one sounds equally as enjoyable. I like reading about other periods and stories about friendship, so that this book will be an excellent addition to my reading list. I am anxious to see if they find gold, and if so, what will they do with their findings? Thank you for the excellent book review.

I really liked reading about Claude in the sample. Adjusting to a new culture that you just learned you are a part of must be a difficult thing for him to do. I wonder how it will turn out. Thanks for the review!

These five men are working towards a common goal of finding gold, but obstacles will always be on the way. I am looking forward to seeing how they will overcome them and achieve their goal. Nice review.

I couldn't agree more with this review! Raymond Maher's novel, "The Second Five," takes readers on an action-packed adventure in the Fraser River during the Gold Rush. The author's storytelling prowess keeps you engaged with every twist and turn, leaving you clueless at times and thoroughly entertained. The wilderness setting and the camaraderie among the five men add depth to the story, making it a captivating read. Thanks for the great review

Oneness and display of affection among the five men are definitely something. The gold rush isn't my kind of scene, so I am assured that Raymond Maher's masterpiece wouldn't be it for me. Nonetheless, I love the review. Well done!

This book sounds fascinating, but I always read series books in order, even if they are said to work as standalones. I'd definitely read book one first. Great review.

I like books that give valuable lessons so this book sounds really interesting. This action-packed, full of twists and turns books teaches us the notions of trust, fellowship, and friendship. And I wonder whether this group of five finally succeed in finding that "elusive gold". Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

The mystery incorporates in this book is what readers are glued to it. How does the murder of a professional gambler affect Nothing Brown and his companion? It seems that this Faro Dealer made the situation of the five miners complicated. I have two minds if I will continue reading to know how the lives of each miner unfold. Congratulations to the author on BOTD!
