Oh wow I'm so excited to read this book! I'm just recently very interested in the Asian culture and history so this exactly what I need. I'm also curious to find out Yi's journey plays out as well as what Hobson have to do with Korea. Thanks for an insightful review. Congrats on BOTD.

"The Abalone Ukulele" by R.L. Crossland is a captivating and exciting book. The first part of the book delves into Yi's story, including how Japan made him a disgrace. This insightful detail into Yi's background sets the tone for the later parts of the story. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves suspenseful and thrilling novels. Congratulations on being awarded BOTD (Book of the Day)!

I enjoy learning about different cultures, so a book about Korea, China, and Japan has definitely piqued my interest. I wonder the steps Yi will take to gain back his honor. I'll check this book out!

"The Abalone Ukulele" by R. L. Crossland is an Asian historical adventure with Yi searching to clear his name all the way to America. Because this book was not an easy read according to the reviewer and that it took a while to settle into the story, I decided to pass on this read. Still, congratulations to the author for BOTD.

A historical fiction involving a person's journey from Japan to the world in Canada, the US, Korea, etc. Although the book seems complex at first, you won't take long before you start enjoying the plot and well-developed characters.

Interesting and still somewhat of a novelty to me, since I have only recently become interested in the Asian warrior subcultures after watching "The last samurai" movie. I hope this world will be just and difficult and sophisticated due to traditions foreign to Europeans. Congratulations with BOTD!
