This book sounds interesting and similar to one I read recently about a young girl who emigrated from Ireland to U.S. in the late 1800s. I really enjoy stories told from different time periods because they often give a drastically different perspective on life than we have now. Based on the review, it seems Nell goes through her share of travesty and I'm interested to see where her journey leads. Good review!

Learning to become an adult at 11 and also experiencing the great loss that Nell did at such a young age is heartbreaking. I look forward to joining Nell on this journey and wonder how she'll be able to overcome the challenges. Congrats on BOTD.

I can't imagine what it feels like to lose a mom and a sibling at the same time. I wish Nell all the best in Oregon, and I hope she will take proper care of her dad. This review makes the book seem thrilling.

This sounds like an interesting book, since grief is something that can be managed very differently between people. I also really like to hear that suspense is used well in the writing!

I really like how the book is portrayed in review, allowing to glimpse from the description of storyline strong female character, whose development and personality helped raise above circumstances. Interesting story from all sides - coming of age and historical, thanks for gifting it!

I love the fact that the book( Nell's west) went far back as the 1800,with so much adventure, and detailed description of the setting, but having to face life at such a young age is heartbreaking,I hope she find a light at the end of the tunnel which will give her a reason to smile in the end.

Today's BOTD is a historical fiction novel that follows Nell, an 11yo forced into adulthood after her mother and brother's deaths. Readers who enjoy novels set in the Wild West, as well as stories of suspense, survival, and adventure will definitely want to download this one today! Thanks so much for the helpful review! :-)

This is a fascinating story, I can't imagine how Nell was able to cope with the pressure of been forced into adulthood at a very tender age. It has a very interesting storyline and I will like to add it to my TBR. Great review

I wonder what kind of life in America was set in 1800. I like the theme and storyline of the book. I think Nell will succeed as she goes along the way; meet good people. Hopefully, I can read this beautiful book. Congratulations to the author on BOTD!

It seems like a beautiful story and a well written book. Back then, kids as young as Nell, were indeed expected to mature and to learn to cope with whatever challenges were thrown at them. People were not aware of the psychological repercussions of traumatic experiences such as losing a parent... I wonder how Nell turned out to be in her adult life. I am sure she became a very tough person.

I find the cover of the book very weird. I also don't like the complicated language used. I guess I'll pass this one.

Nell's West is a book set in the mid 1800's that's about a young girl who was forced to grow up at the age 11. Love, death, courage, perseverance and survival are predominant themes in this book. Thanks for your review.

I think a lot of readers will be able to relate to the novel since it is about life and relationships. I’m looking forward to digging into this novel to know Nell, and her family, her struggles as she faces the difficult challenges forced upon her at such young age.

I don’t think I’ve read a historical fiction novel set in the 1800s so I am very intrigued by this book! Nell sounds like a lovable character.
