Not sure it is my cup of tea, mostly because despite how great reviewer made this book sound, I am not exactly interested to discover the true "Story of Niccolo Paganini". Don't get me wrong, I enjoy his music, but I don't need to know him as a person and not just creator. Sorry and congrats!

I love drama and romance, but I am not a fan of screenplays, as I often get bored by the format. Congratulations, but I will have to pass.

This sounds like a nice biographical book about one of the world's most famous musicians. I appreciate the screenplay format as I don't like to read long descriptions. It will be really interesting to read and find out more about Paganini. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

I do not have a lot of knowledge about classical music. I do find Paganini as an interesting character, but this isn't a book I will be picking up anytime soon. Congrats on BOTD, nonetheless.

It's a fascinating topic... The fact that it's written in screenplay. I could even picture it in my mind. Congratulations on book of the day

This historical work of fiction that combines drama and a love story seems intriguing. This book is interesting to read because is written like a screenplay. The central figures in Paganini's tritone, a priest named Cafarelli, and other supporting characters fascinate me.

I find screenplays frustrating to read because of the lack of imagery given. However, from this review, I would surmise that this BOTD may not fall under this generalization. While I understand acting out parts for plays and television, I still like to know what I am supposed to see for the part. Nice review.

I like the fact that they did not hide their sentiments about him striking a deal with the devil. All in all, Niccolo Paganini was a great artist and a legend. The book appears to be a well-rounded, informative work on the historical figure Paganini.

I have never read a screenplay before. I believe it has a different structure than that of a book, and it is difficult to understand if you aren't used to reading one. Therefore, I believe this is a great opportunity for me to read one with a good chance of understanding it since it was written as a book. The fact that it is about an eighteenth-century rock star musician makes it more appealing. This is definitely on my to-read list. Great job with the review; I truly enjoyed it.

Niccolo Paganini was an icon in the 1900s. It's refreshing that Richard Rees retold his story in this fantastic historical fiction screenplay. It truly deserved the BOTD spot.

It's mostly easy for others to conclude that some highly talented person must have been given such gifts via a tradeoff with some supernatural forces. Whatever the case, enjoying good music has it's benefits. Great review and congratulations on BOTD.

In addition to the good writing style mentioned, I like the idea the book discusses. I don't get the everlasting problem between music and men of religion. I'd like to see how it was discussed here.
