Great review! It made me want to read the book. I sampled a bit of the story online, and found myself pulled in to the story immediately. I felt for the poor unloved kid.

With vivid descriptions and relatable characters, this book offers valuable life lessons and a satisfying amount of suspense. Rated 5 out of 5 stars.

Thank you for the review! The lesson's that you chose to point out seem really interesting, especially since you couldn't think of anything you didn't like about the book! I was nervous when I read the sample of the novel because it is the third in a series, but thank you for pointing out that this can be read as a stand-alone, I am going to enjoy this one a lot I think.

I really wish Stephen lived a better life in this book. Abusive upbringing and bad homes can be very chaotic healthwise. I love the articulation of this review. Congratulations on winning BOTD.

I enjoy intriguing fictional stories with real life lessons in them. If you can take never allow other people's opinions to define you from the BOTD, it will definitely be a book I would want to read. Excellent review.

"The Rock at the Bottom" by Cynthia Hilston is the story of a man who after examining his father's waywardness, decided not to follow after him. Good book.

Romantic fiction is not my favourite genre, but Stephen seems to be an interesting protagonist of the story.

Most people experince the fear of ending up like the person they hate. It's nice to follow Stephen in his journey through life. Congrats on BOTD!

I can't imagine what Stephen had to go through. Losing his mom and having his family blaming him for it is just too much.

It's admirable that Stephen had the bravery to choose to live a good life rather than emulate his father. Finding out more about his marriage to Julie and the murder charge against him would be intriguing. Excellent review.

I’m not a fan of romance novels, but I hope Stephan can break the cycle and live a joyous and fulfilling life with his new bride. Thank you for your review!

The plot of this book is amazing. I just hope Stephen will be a better husband to his bride than his father was to his mother. Amazing review.

No offense to anyone, but I read a lot and after some time romantic novels lose their appeal since they are essentially all the same. Unfortunately, this story is not an exception and thereby I prefer to skip it.

I am sure Stephen felt like an outcast all of his life since his father and siblings felt he had killed his mother during his birth! I hope Julie is the right person for him and that he doesn't follow in his father's footsteps! Sounds like a good read! Thanks for the great review!
