very insightful review! I liked the sample very much, though I was not expecting to, since I am not into stories of war or romance. But this writer has an interesting style and the plot advanced smoothly.

The author with a great passion wrote the book. Soldiers go through a lot. We look at the heroic part of them and forget that's they are humans too.
The book has a good cover design.

This review gave great insight into what the book is really about. It is not only about romance or war or struggles with life it is about all of these things and more. As a potential reader, I would turn away military inspired stories but the review is well written so I would definitely like to give this book a read.

Saving KC by Grinnell Desjarlais is an amazing example of the use of Pathos. This book plays with the readers emotions by unfolding the horrific scenes of war and the new found love after the tragedy. Your review highlights every intriguing part of the book so intrinsically. I really enjoyed reading your review and it definitely made me want to purchase the book.

I sampled a few pages and, like you, I felt captivated by the rescue and convalescence of Kelly. From the sample, I could guess that it was a story about war and a badly wounded soldier, but your review opens the romance perspective. It must be a gripping read.

While romance is not my cup of tea, I think it's interesting that the live story has a setting against the traumas of war and captivity.

The first few pages of the book certainly set the tone. However, I'm not much of a lover of romantic fiction, so this one isn't for me. Congrats to the author on his achievement and BOTD!

It is true that we often find the best things in life when we are not even looking, or even are not aware that we needed it. I am an ardent reader of historical fiction, and it is good to see that the author has accurately painted the effects of war on not only the soldiers themselves but also those around them. I have added the book to my shelf. Many thanks for the review.

Thank you for sharing such a detailed and heartfelt review of "Saving KC" by Grinnell Desjarlais! Your insight into Kelly's journey, the impact of war trauma, and the depiction of Indian cultures adds depth to the overall narrative. It's wonderful to hear that the author's portrayal of soldier experiences resonated with you, providing both informative and emotional elements. Your appreciation for the writing quality and editing speaks volumes.

I understand your preference for clearer event timing indications, and it's great that this minor concern didn't significantly impact your overall enjoyment of the book. The resilience and rediscovery of love in Kelly's life seem to have left a lasting impression on you, making the emotional aspects truly captivating.

Your enthusiastic 5-star rating and recommendation to lovers of romance fiction and those interested in military life highlight the book's broad appeal. It sounds like a compelling read, and your review has certainly piqued my interest. I'll be sure to add "Saving KC" to my reading list. Thanks again for the thoughtful review!
