Family drama stories are hit or miss with me. But the title was interesting to the concept. I think of Eden as a wonderful garden, and couldn't picture that with a family drama. But after reading the first few chapters, I am hooked. I can't wait to finish the book.

Interesting to see a book that focuses on a particular family's struggle! That's not the type of book I'm looking for right now but it does seem interesting! Thanks for the review!

This book sounds like an exciting read based on the positive feedback that you gave in your review. I liked that the author was so descriptive in the setting of the book that I could easily imagine the coast of Rhode Island. I believe that this book could be made into a movie due to the different personalities of the characters.

This review does a good job of highlighting the elements of the family’s story and the multiple layers of the characters’ personal challenges.

Great review. After reading the review, I think this book sounds like a great read. I am curious now about Becca's big secret. It's also nice to hear that the characters are human with good qualities and bad qualities that make them human and easy to relate to. This sounds like a down to earth story about family ties.

:tiphat: There is a voyueristic part in each of us The escape of peering in on rich peoples problems and gaining momentary escape. The review makes it appealing in describing elaborate charcter development,of course. Otherwise why would we even like these folk?
Great job on avoiding spoilers and enticing readers to jump in with this family. Looking for the connections that include us all.

A gem. "EDEN" is the perfect summer book. A beautifully written story of mothers and daughters, siblings, complex inter-generational family dynamics, lost possibilities, and ultimately hope and forgiveness ... all wrapped up in the significant events of the 20th century.
REALLY ENJOY IT

If a writer can make the problems of the people in the big house seem like problems everyone has, the big house wouldn't matter as much.
