Thank you for this delightful review. It gave a very detailed analysis of what to expect from the book.
Apollo's Raven sounds exactly like my type of read. Rife with history, mythology, action and romance, it tempts me like no other.

This historical book seems amazing and intriguing as it so involves mystical theme and romance where a princess and a king of different Kingdoms of different ideologies have to choose between their feelings or their people's affair. The story develops in the region of the Southeast Celtic tribes in Britain before the invasion of the Roman emperor Claudius

Reading this book will be a great way to learn about ancient history and mythology. The technique of shifting points of view helps the reader more fully grasp the plot. The combination of historical romance and mystical adventure will appeal to a broad audience.

I have read the story of Queen Boudica and so have an idea of Celtic culture. Interestingly, unlike other olden societies, the Celts do not consider women inferior to men. I like Catrin's spunk. I wonder how her forbidden romance with the enemy will affect her tribe. Is her raven a gift or a curse? I'm in for the wild ride.

I’m not a huge fan of history novels but I can tell that the author was very knowledge in this particular subject and clearly did a lot of research. The book seems to be very well written with a lot of great characters with a captivating story and romance.

I haven't read the book, but upon reading the review it does sound like something I would enjoy. I love books that have a compelling story and characters, but being well researched is a must for any historical fiction.

I read the sample, though I am not a fan of fantasy, goth, warriors, witches, sorcerers and magic; I found it difficult to follow the characters and story line, but Cristinaro's review brought a clear perspective of what's going on. I will add that though I am not a fan of this genre, I did enjoy Tanner's writing style and creativity.

I like the possible modeling of Catrin to the historical warrior queen, Boudica, as well as hers and Marcellus' love being likened to the tragic tales of Romeo and Juliet among others. I'm also intrigued about her abilities to shape-shift and use natural forces to her advantage. Thanks for the exciting review!

I read this one before. It was disappointing because I loved the strong female lead and was investing in the journey she took throughout the book and kept rooting for her but the ending ruined it for me and it was so abrupt. If they make a sequel, though, I'll give it a chance.

Yes to the historical, political rivalry, and about the romance spark between the two people who are supposedly to be opposing of each other.

I read the original Apollo's Raven and loved it. This one involving the ancient rulers sounds great. I feel connected to Catrin already, and want to keep reading just to see how she does.

The author gives importance to women which is admirable. I noted an interesting flow in this read. It seems like a character driven story. Thank you for your review!

A breakaway from the norm of having the main character role interpreted by male, Tanner genuinely mirrors another perspective to resolution of societal conflicts. The heroine ably formed by Catrin takes the reader on an adventure only bested by the Conans of the male society. A hero arising from the female folk goes to show generally that conflict and philosophies can also be influenced and ultimately changed by a woman.
